Mithkal Alzghair studied dance between East (the Damascus Superior Institute of Dramatic Art, Syria, specialized in classic and modern dance) and West (Master in Choreographic Studies, National Choreography Center, Montpellier, France).
He has worked as a dancer for several different choreographers (Marie Brolin-Tani, Xavier Le Roy and Christophe Wavelet) and partnered with Italian theatre company In-Occula for the European project CRACK. In March 2016, he created Déplacement, a solo and a trio work, questioning the concept legacy in the context of exile.
The show won 1st prize at the 2016 Dance Competition organised by the Theatre de la Ville in Paris and the Rennes and Brittany Dance Museum/CCN.
In autumn 2016, he created the company HEK-MA.
