Biography

Born in the West of France, Antoine Roux-Briffaud became interested in music and folk dance before discovering physical expression. He graduated in contemporary dance from CNSMD, Lyon in 2007.

Antoine divided his time between various projects in different artistic fields (particularly musical) and became interested in Japanese culture (several trips to Japan for choreographic projects).

He worked as dancer performer with Roberto Zappalà (Compagnia Zappalà Danza – Catania) and Yuval Pick (The Guests Company – Lyon), while developing some more personal projects with the Association Mâ, based in Lyon. From 2011 to 2015, he worked with Yuval Pick as part of the permanent company of the National Choreographic Centre of Rillieux-la-Pape (CCNR).

In 2016 he went free-lance again, working with Martin Forsberg (ForsWorks - Copenhagen) and Christian Rizzo (ICI—CCN - Montpellier); in 2017, he will work with Ambra Senatore (CCN de Nantes). Antoine has a degree in Political Science and a National Diploma to teach contemporary dance (2015).
