— Material

My choreographic research is strongly linked to a plastic work of fabrication and manipulation of materials, costumes, masks, canvases and various fabrics, which I consider, on stage, as actors in their own right. For me, the engine of physicality is to be found in the sensory and perceptive relation with the environment and plastic elements. This relation allows us to move from bodies/materials/matters to memory and imagination, and it opens up passages from concrete to abstract, from reality to fiction, from the machine to dreams.

— Body

I am interested in the psychic and physical functioning of the human body, in the natural and cultural context in which it evolves, as if they were multiple layers composing it. Between rites, passages and metamorphoses, I search for a form of body archaeology, a way to unfold and unfurl all the facets of the body. This dialogue between the organic and the plastic creates an animistic relationship in which the dancer/actor is not systematically the motor and at the core of the action, but where the surroundings, the environment can become central.

— Creation process

My research being linked to matters, my creative process often begins with the accumulation of materials and objects of all sorts, which constitutes a sort of library, a preliminary vocabulary from which a dialogue with the research on movement begins. In the meantime, I experiment with certain practices, in fields that are a priori unrelated to dance but that directly concern the themes and questions I would like to address.
