. "Life Long Burning (LLB)" Towards a sustainable Eco-System for Contemporary Dance in Europe project supported by the European Union from 1 July 2018 to 30 November 2022 under the Creative Europe program
. Then with the new project "Life Long Burning - Futures Lost and Found " from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2026
Since 2018, Life Long Burning has been working to anchor choreographic practice, its production and reception in a larger societal and more discursive context. The "Life Long Burning" success story continues with this new project, Life Long Burning - Futures Lost and Found (LLB3 January 1, 2023 - December 31, 2026), ICI—CCN continues the European cooperation actions built since 1998.
In a Europe today confronted with even more social divisions, in the grip of war in part of its neighboring territories, and under the threat of a pandemic, its consequences and the different political responses to it, confronted with the immense challenge of climate change, the ambition of this network made up of partners from 12 countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Finland, France, Croatia, Hungary, the Netherlands, Romania, Slovenia, Sweden) is to take into account a certain number of societal issues, among which LLB3 tackles the following:
+ addressing and fighting social exclusion,
+ advocating for decision-making processes in dance as a role model for a democratic and fair Europe,
+ fostering the CCS job market both on the artistic and the admin side,
+ sustainably accompanying emerging and mid-career dance artists and dance admin.
To achieve this, the network's ambition over the next 4 years will be to stimulate artistic development and promote the professionalization of the dance scene, as well as defending and developing knowledge of choreographic art and expanding its impact throughout Europe.
