Through a series of creative cycles, diptychs and triptychs around visual or dance performances, Christian Rizzo’s work continues to conjure up space where memory is convened and fresh imaginings are activated.

Born from an impromptu performance in the Agora courtyard marking the ICI—CCN season launch, je vais t’écrire. choreographs the relationship between Rizzo’s two faithful artists, Vania Vaneau and Nicolas Fayol.

Composed from an unprecedented association of two solos from miramar (created in 2022) and en son lieu (created in 2020), completed by a luminous object inspired by the scenery of le syndrome ian (created in 2016), the physical score probes the vibratory power of parallel solitudes.

Busy with their own dance moves, addressing both surrounding physical space and an invisible vanishing point, the two performers follow the precise progression of a space that is gradually transformed and revealed through the prism of a bright scenic object.

The dance then shifts to an incantatory ode, dialoguing with the sounds of Nicolas Devos and Pénélope Michel (from the group Cercueil / Puce Moment), summoning in turn melancholic sweetness and telluric flight.

Performed live, the composition for guitar, cello and electro music offers a soundscape which plays as key a role in fictionalising the relationship between the two dancers as the in situ setting does.
